Sunbusters was founded in September 2017 by Karl Hüllermeier and was later joined by Pierre Nykamp, accumulating some 30 years of solar experience and representing over 1000 solar installations since commencement in the industry.
The world is currently on to track for a global temperature rise of 2.7˚C by the end of the century. That is well above the goal of 1.5oC set in the Paris climate agreement, and it would lead to serious changes in weather patterns worldwide. The scale and speed of the investment in clean energy solutions and innovations will determine whether we can still achieve a net-zero emission transition. For a better future we need to act in the present.
Somewhat 30% of all energy produced worldwide is done with clean and renewable energy sources. There has been a significant growth in this number of the past couple of years with further exponential growth expected as we aim for the goal of zero emissions by 2050.
The burning of hazardous fossil fuels account for 37% of the world’s total energy production each year, causing unseen damages to the environment and people alike. At least this number is slowly decreasing each year, with trends to renewable energy production on the forefront.
The global solar energy production is only 3.6% of the total energy produced globally each year. This number is on an uptrend seeing as solar solutions are becoming affordable to anyone, anywhere in the world.
Air pollutions is credited with the death of 1 in 5 people each year. In global numbers this is around 8,7 million people each year. As energy production is now trending towards cleaner and safer energy production this will hopefully decrease dramatically going forward.
